Job Description:

Reports to:  Vice President, Marketing & Communications

Primary Responsibilities

- Develop accurate promotional event checklist 60 days in advance of each event, with input from AHS and post mortems; work with Merchandising for items/prices/margin.

- Populate ad templates; pull photography for creative team and broadcast production agency; gather items and art from Sleep vendors as needed.

- Maintain expanded marketing calendar by market as media and offer changes arise. Monitor changes made by AHS; alert Merchandising and Marketing of these changes for impact on relevant events.

- Create Event Playbooks for all events in PowerPoint; distribute for proofing one week prior to event start date. Upload to Retail after final approvals.

- Arrange charity partners in each market for food drives, breast cancer awareness and other community-focused Private Events.

- Populate weekly e-blasts with items, headlines and disclaimers. Gain approvals; set up distribution in Mail Chimp. Report and document opens weekly, taking note of successful headlines and timing to improve long term results.

- Assist with proofing all marketing and corporate materials prior to release.

- Book, track all media in accordance with approved media plan for each event.

- Create and maintain WIP and workflow management for Marketing.

- Establish standard production schedule for each media vehicle; set up workflow in tracking software; add interim deadlines to WIP and track progress throughout Marketing to ensure all deadlines are met.


Experience and Skills:

Position Requirements

- B.S. or B.A. from an accredited U.S. college or university.

- Two years’ experience in a retail environment.

- Strong Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.

- Must demonstrate proactive approach to fulfillment of responsibilities, solid work ethic and willingness to go the second mile when extra efforts are needed.

- Proven ability to organize and execute multi-dimensional projects across departmental lines on time, on budget, and with excellent to superior results.

- Superior writing, spelling, and editing skills and proven attention to details.

- Ability to work well cross-functionally with others, including senior executives, to achieve desired goals.
