Job Description:

Broad River Retail (Ashley Home Store) is searching for a Sales Auditor to join our Business Intelligence team. This role will be responsible for auditing in-store sales processes & reports to identify potential issues and control risks. This position will assist in making recommendations to management regarding corrective actions and improvement of processes to ensure efficient and effective compliance and financial controls.

Experience and Skills:

Core Accountabilities:

  • Participate in various audit functions by thoroughly examining sales, KPI documentation and discipline implementation by demonstrating a high attention to detail to ensure achievement of business objectives
  • Utilize applications to collect and aggregate information for audit analysis
  • Track, analyze, evaluate in-store sales data to identify errors and/or exceptions related to audits
  • Follow up and recommend solutions for process improvement to key stakeholders
  • Ensure audit projects are completed properly, timely and accurately and in alignment with best practices, department guidelines and industry standards
  • Conduct special investigation projects and perform project assignments and ad hoc requests as needed
  • Gain expertise with our Storis ERP system and our data warehouse reporting services
  • Responsible for escalating discrepancies, disparities and process issues
  • Handle & effectively manage confidential information
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing by adopting appropriate communication style to individuals at all levels of the organization and remaining open to disagreement or new ideas
  • Contribute to a positive work environment by demonstrating cultural expectations and influencing others to drive performance, accountability and continuous improvement



  • A Bachelor’s degree preferably with a business degree
  • 1 or more years of experience in business, sales, retail or audit related field
  • Ability to work independently and to effectively plan, organize and set/achieve priorities when performing work
  • Proficient with MS Office applications
  • Task-oriented with excellent sense of prioritization, highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and to work under pressure
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information discretely and professionally
  • A clear understanding of process and how to standardize approaches and apply rituals & routines
  • Superior interpersonal skills (written, verbal, presentation)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong influencing skills and negotiating skills, with the ability to working effectively with those outside the formal line of authority to accomplish organizational goals
