Job Description:

This position will assist the finance department in ensuring that inventory is properly controlled and valued at our retail locations. This position will be responsible for overseeing retail physical inventory counts performed by company and third party personnel. This position will monitor and report to ensure policies related to inventory integrity are being followed at assigned retail locations. This position reports to the Retail Inventory Audit Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee physical counts at all retail locations including coordination of team members involved in the counts.
  • Verification of perpetual inventory quantities through cycle counting.
  • Review internal control procedures in place and test adherence and make suggestions for improvements to controls.
  • Perform analysis to identify causes of variances.
  • Develop corrective actions needed to prevent future inventory discrepancies.
  • Input retail inventory counts adjustment entries into ERP system.
  • Conduct inventory training and advice to existing and new retail personnel.
  • Assist in update/preparation of inventory count Procedure and control manuals.

Experience and Skills:

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • Ability to perform repetitive bending, stooping, and squatting.
  • Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time on concrete flooring.
  • Able to drive to assigned store locations and manage travel.
  • Be able to routinely lift 75 lbs. alone, or team lifts heavier pieces.
  • Must possess a Valid Driver License, car available for business travel, and excellent driving record.
  • Must have demonstrated an ability to use multiple computer programs and care for a company PC.
  • Ability to listen to and follow directions.
  • Must be a self-motivated individual and team player.
